A Colourful Day for Cancer: Bexhill Shines for WOLO and Little Princess Trust
Last month, EH Salon was bursting with energy, laughter, and a whole lot of heart! We hosted our annual Colour for Cancer event, and it was truly a day to remember. This wasn't just another event for us; it was a celebration of our amazing Bexhill community and a chance to make a real difference for the WOLO Foundation and The Little Princess Trust.
Why We Do What We Do
At EH Salon, we're all about family. And to us, our community is family. We know that cancer affects so many lives, and we wanted to create a day where we could come together and show our support. The WOLO Foundation provides such vital help to people facing cancer, and The Little Princess Trust brings so much joy to children who have lost their hair. We wanted to do our part to help these wonderful organizations.
Courageous Cuts and Shaved Heads
The highlight of the day was definitely watching over 20 brave volunteers have their heads shaved or get dramatic haircuts. It was so inspiring to see people step up and do something so bold for such a great cause. Each snip of the scissors was met with cheers and applause, and the atmosphere was just incredible. It was a powerful reminder of how much love and support there is in our community.
"Statistics show that 1 in 2 people in the UK born after 1960 will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Life is precious - we need to make the most of it - we only live once - Wolo!"

Locks of Love for Little Princess Trust
We were also thrilled to collect over 15 bundles of hair for The Little Princess Trust. These donations will be used to make wigs for children who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment. It's such a beautiful thing to know that we're helping to bring smiles and confidence to these amazing kids. Every strand of hair donated was a symbol of hope and kindness.

Music and Merriment in the Garden
The Chanderliers turned our newly renovated garden into a party! The music was fantastic, and everyone was dancing and having a great time. It was so much fun to see people of all ages enjoying themselves and celebrating together. The music really brought everyone together and created such a joyful atmosphere.
BBQ and Sweet Treats for Everyone
Our amazing volunteers worked so hard to keep everyone fed and happy. The BBQ was delicious, and the smell of sizzling food filled the air. And let's not forget the incredible cakes and biscuits made by our talented children and donated by our staff and clients! They were a huge hit, and everyone loved them. It was so heartwarming to see the kids getting involved and helping out.

A Community United in Giving
The best part of the day was seeing our community come together. Everyone was so generous and supportive, and it was truly inspiring. We raised a total of £2876.40 for the WOLO Foundation, which is just incredible! This money will make a real difference in the lives of people affected by cancer in our area.
A Heartfelt Thank You
Salon Owners Emma and Matthew Hellier shared their gratitude, saying, "We are overwhelmed with the kindness and compassion of our Bexhill community once again. I want to remind people that there's so much love and support here when needed and that our door is always open. Thank you to our team, for helping in the planning and giving up their precious Weekend to host the event. To everyone who volunteered, donated, came for a cake, stayed for a party - Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Let's do it all again next year!"

Looking Forward to Next Year
We're already looking forward to next year's Colour for Cancer event. It was such a special day, and we can't wait to do it all again. We're so proud to be part of such an amazing community, and we're committed to continuing to support these incredible organizations.
