"Statistics show that 1 in 2 people in the UK born after 1960 will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Life is precious - we need to make the most of it - we only live once - Wolo!"
Life is precious. We only live once—Wolo! That’s why, on Sunday 18th May 2025, The EHSalon is thrilled to host our Hero Hair Workshop in support of the Wolo Foundation. This exciting event invites every young girl to bring her hero—be it Dad, Grandad, Stepdad, Big Brother, Uncle, or any special figure in her life—for a day of fun, learning, and bonding.
During the workshop, our professional team will guide you through practical hair-styling techniques such as:
- Perfect Hair Washing
- Blow Drying & Easy Styling
- Braiding & Pinning
Whether your “hero” has never held a hairbrush or is already a dab hand at plaiting, everyone is welcome. This workshop goes beyond the basics of hair care. It’s about creating unforgettable memories, strengthening relationships, and supporting a worthy cause. Proceeds from every ticket will go to the Wolo Foundation, a local charity dedicated to helping families in Sussex through their cancer journeys.
At The EHSalon, we’ve seen how these special bonding events create lasting smiles and a deeper connection between loved ones. Don’t miss out on this unique experience—reserve your spot today, and make a real difference while you’re at it.

“Wolo” stands for We Only Live Once - an ethos that both thefamily that run the charity and we share. I urge you to look on their website to see how else you may be able to support them, or perhaps how they may be able to help you or a loved one.

Why do people need supportfrom Wolo?
After experiencing a cancer journey of our own, we highlighted a numberof problems we incurred along the way that we felt Wolo could help address. These included:
• Lack of support for those diagnosed
• Lack of support for the families of those diagnosed
• Lack of practical help
• Lack of mental health support
• Isolation
• The detrimental financial impact of a cancer diagnosis
• Lack of support once active treatment is completed- people struggling to ‘move on’.
• The stigma associated with cancer
• Having a negative outlook on life
We have used this information along with our ethos, to create our core outcomes. They are instrumental to everything we do.
